Paintings of beach huts, landscapes and seascapes by Linda Monk
About the Artist

I am a professional British artist and currently live in Leipzig, Germany.

I have exhibited regularly in Germany and the UK.
I grew up on the Wirral Peninsula in the North West of England.
The sea and all things nautical are the main influences in my oil paintings.

As a young child I was inspired to be an artist by my great uncle who was a commercial artist.
He worked for the Eagle comic and also produced chocolate box scenes for Barker and Dobson confectioners.

In 1982 I gained an Honours Degree in Fine Art.
After training I worked from my own studio in Chester and had many exhibitions at that time in the North West of England.

I met my future husband in London in my late twenties and my art career took second place to other responsibilities.
Since 2005 I have been able to return full time to my painting.

My paintings are held in public and private collections across Europe and North America.
Some of my work has also been published by Ecosse Fine Art and by Woodmansterne, the major card retailer.
I have also been featured in the Paint and Draw Collection Magazine.
